It will apparently void your warranty. This is for the n3 I think. Search google for " Stereo name + Bypass" and you will get a billion results.

Nice, perfect, anyway... Is the Avic N-3/n-4 the way to go? or should I buy another brand?

I have the d3 with the orbital and love it! The n3/4 is good too but I dont personally like the fold out screen and how it came up high and the screen caught the air coming out of the a/c vents. The bypass was simple and as noted above can be found at avic411.com. Overall my prefrence was with the fixed screen-look so I chose the d3 and have not regreted since. Good luck!

Ok cool, any idea where I can get the whole set up, like the black orbital, but in silver possibly?

The Orbital will be a hard find, and if so, a long wait. Also the current model has a poor finish. (I sanded/primed/and painted mine). Take a look at the JDM evo 2-din bezels sold by ...I think japanparts.com/net/org or something. They look nicer than the orbital IMO. I do believe Orbital is making a newer model, or is collecting money for a newer model which I believe will be a hard sell.
I do have the orbital (2-300 dollars), after some bracket cutting for the install (some cars need to have a bracket cut out for the hvac cables to route) and some sanding and painting I am happy with it, but I still feel for that money it should work as advertised..

avic d-3 is nice....but getting outdated
i LOVE my kenwood dnx7100 in my evo
that ***** is a trooper, no joke. built in garmin gps is the best, charges my ipod and lets me control it on screen and lets me control my videos too, usb, lots of other things too
either one is great, but i think dnx7100 ups the d3 by a bit

so does the D3 not let you control the ipod with the screen? I thought it did. I'm so torn right now between the d3 or the N4.
Is the d3 the best double din DVD player pioneer makes?

ya it has ipod control, but it doesnt let u control the ipod video through the screen
and the ipod integration w/ the dnx7100 is much more better
plus, the main downfall of the d3 is if u want navi, u HAVE to have the navi dvd in the system, and it only has 1 slot. so u cant be listening to a cd or watching a dvd while using navi.
the dnx7100 has the navi on the systems HD so it loads up fast and lets u use the dvd/cd tray for other things too
