Talking Alpine ida-x100 installed

Just thought I would share some pics of my project from yesterday. It came out good because I made sure to do a lot of searching before I installed it myself. I was a little unsure of buying this Alpine HU because my primary source was going to be an ipod, and i had read problems with other of alpine's new HU regarding the ipod. This is not the case with this one (at least with my 5th generation ipod with bout 1500 songs) it works great and the speakers sound way better than with the stock head unit. If you have an older ipod you would need to buy a different cable. Also the colors can be changed from blue to red. The memory stick works good too but im not sure if it can shuffle those songs. What do you guys think?

Looks good! I had no problems with my Alpine CDA-9885 w/ iPod connection and you can control the iPod through the head unit. It just got stolen monday though, so im buying a CDA-9886 tomorrow.

I was going to install the 9886 as well until I heard the 9886 may have trouble interfacing with the new i-pods from the dealer who installed my 9885. You may want to ask just in case.

You just change it in the settings. One of the options gives you the ability to change colors from red to blue etc.

My hvac lights are not blue, they are the stock white. Pics were with my phone so they seam a little blue. The HU you can change it in the settings like mdinubil said.
