What kind of tilt sensor? Most tilt sensors that I'm aware of are just a mercury switch, which you should be able to get for less than 10. Maybe they're more advanced now.

The DEI tilt sensors that I use to install many many moons ago were able to learn the position of the vehicle when armed, then trigger the alarm before any wheel was completely lifted off the ground. Never opened it up but I'm assuming it was a little more than just the standard open/close contact mercury switches that are installed under the hoods.

Yeah, now I kinda remember something like that. I had a mercury switch once hooked up to the door trigger and I think I forgot to put a diode with it and every time I went up a hill my dome lights would come on.

Better safe than sorry man. Trust me, the initial cost might scare some away, but it's worth it knowing that it can be just another thing a thief has to bypass to get your ride.

the viper 5900 is the newer lineup from viper with SST technology with 1 mile range. Included is only the shock sensor however you can purchase and ass on a prox sensor which sends out and RF signal when armed and if broken(Someone goes near your car or in it) warns them 2 times depending on how close then triggers the alarm after that. You can purchse a glass brake sensor which senses sound. Tilt sensor for someone trying to jack your wheel. You can get a battery backup that even if they cut the power still leaves the alarm powered up.
