a little something different

so, i am not a big fan of subs anymore but still wanted more sound and bass without giving up my trunk space. i did not really want to cut into the door panels or pillars and started thinking what could i do, and it hit me... like most evo owners, not too many people ride in the back seats so there was no need for the armrest back there and figured that would be a great place for a custom enclosure. it took me a while to figure out if i wanted more 6.5" or just one nice 6x9... i think i will still make one for a 6x9 later on. here is the result, somewhat stealth from outside looking in but all business once the tunes are bumpin'

fiberglass pics near the bottom of page 3...

Drives: like I've got a pair.

Not bad!

You could really make that hit hard with a solarbaric (sp?) --- you know, the squarish type of sub. Sorry I'm such a noob.

OMG you stole my idea I've been working on the samething myself. I went with one 6.5 and it just wasn't loud enough so now I'm trying to fab up a two sub application.

Could you do me a favor and PM me your build specs

Nice work and very stealth looking. I ended up going with a Audio Integrations sub box and am very surprised on how it really didn't take away alot of my trunk space.

there are two little plastic clips (one on each end) on the bar at the bottom that keep the arm rest in place.
