Turbo Timer and factory keyless problem!
All,
Just got installed a Blitz FATT Turbo Timer and everything with the timer is working properly!
However, as soon as the timer counts down and turn off the engine the keyless unlocks the car.
I searched around and did not find a definitive answer on how to solve this problem.
I can see two ways to solve the problem:
1. To remove the auto-lock and auto-unlock function on the keyless. How?
2. Re-wire the ignition wire from the alarm. I was thinking to wire it to the emergency brake. Can somebody tell me where to find this wire?
Any help on how to address this?

mine does the same, usually disabling the ignition controlled door locks doesn't fix the problem. I kind of like it, i have the 2-way pager python alarm and it notifies me when the car is shut off which i think is cool.
i'm not too sure about wire colors on automates but you can hook up your alarm ignition wire to a switch to 12 volts and that way you can flip it when you need it. THe ignition wire is used to reset the alarm and activate certain features.
anyways when you are arming your vehicle when it is running the alarm goes into a armed-while running mode which normally deactivates the shock sensor. Your engine will normally set the shock sensor off pretty quick.
sorry for the long response, to make it short, i would just leave it, just walk away slower and relock the car when it shuts off
edit: automate is definitely not factory

Weird! My keyless came with the Evo and uses the factory two buttons remote.
I think that I can live with enabling the auto-arming function!

It seems that local mitsu decided to install an Automate crappy alarm AM1 which interacts with the keyless entry.
I can not find any information about the Automate and quite honestly I did not feel comfortable when DEI/Automate Technical Support did not want to give me the instructions to enter in programming mode.
They wanted to schedule me an appointment with the local reps which I had to pay for the visit. I told them to f**k themselves and that I would prefer to buy another alarm with full instructions.
I just removed the alarm and left the keyless entry alone until I decide which alarm to install!

I have the same turbo timer and mine does not do that at least for now. Did you hardwire it in to the ignition harness or did you purchase a harness that is made for the evo? I bought the timer as well as the harness and the only wire I have to hardwire is the eBrake.

Sorry to hear that bro! I haven't have an alarm for my Evo yet but if I do plan to get one, I'll probably install it myself. I'm somewhat more than an novice electronic guy so I should be able to handle it. Why pay someone else to do it and save that extra money for gas or beer

I have the HKS Type 2 Turbo Timer and mine does it as well. I have just dealt with it up until now, but I would really like to fix that. Basically, it makes the turbo timer useless if you have to wait for it to turn off to lock your car.

the stock keyless entry on our cars does not arm(lock)/disarm(unlock) it self with ign. that would be your alarm. i installed a Avital 4400av on my car and programed it to lock when the ign gets turned off. so when my turbo timer shuts down, it locks. If u ever install a alarm it will be labeled in the manual as "Ign controlled doorlocks" and one thing to remember, if u have a factory keyless entry, the key fab will not work while the car is running, most aftermarket alarms are like that as well
