Single DIN flip out screen in lower cubby?

Is it possible to fit a flip out screen head unit in the lower radio relocate area? I dont want to do a double DIN conversion, I want my gauge panel up there, but I would like a nice navigation head unit and I'm really liking the new AVIC-N4.

Anyone have a pop out screen down there? Any pictures? What model did you use? Any mods to make it work?

Thanks!

I am sure it can be done. However you have a couple problems...

1 screens need to slide out flat then flip up. you will have contact with your shifter.
2 the mounting surface to the top edge of the cubby area is DEEP, so the screen will have to stick out at least 3"s from the mounting surface, I don't know of any that do that
3. you will be viewing that screen at an extreme angle, and LCD screens of any type don't like vertical viewing angles, so you won't be able to see your screen well.
4. the screen will be so low that it will be useless to navigate/view while driving the car

sorry to pee pee on your parade. It's possible, not feasable in the slightest

Thank you king, for proving my point. If you would like to custom fabricate a new lower cubby, yes it's possible, again, not feasable

Just make sure you are in 2nd, 4th, 6th, or Reverse when you open the screen, and again, the verticle angle would make the screen hard to see without a gangsta lean in the seat.
