Wiring Amp and Sub Seperatly HELP!

i recently got an 500watt 250rms subwoofer and a 280rms amp... i want to power the sub with the amp...im not wanting to wire it up to stock amp cause i know its not powerful enough...can someone give me some guidance on wiring the sub with the aftermarket amp only... and have my stock amp power the stock speakers...

get a line output converter. connect that to the wires going to the factory sub, run rca's from the line output convertor to your aftermarket amp and that's it!

Do you have the stock stereo still or an aftermarket stereo? You would be more benificial getting an aftermarket radio with 2 regular preouts and a subwoofer preout, and getting a MITAH adapter to still use your stock amplifier and speakers. If you want to keep the stock radio the above post is for you.
