What does this wire do?!

I've read the stickies and have most of the things figured out.

However, I'm trying to find the stock earth cable that would have been used on the stock HU.

In the photo, what is the connector I'm holding in my 1st and 2nd fingers?!

Or is the earth one of the wires that go into the connector block?

I'm also assuming the black cable which loops round my thumb and into a connector is the power ariel cable??

the one on the left I have no clue at all.... possibly an optic connector cable??? But I think our sound system isn't expensive enough to have it. The one on the right I believe is for the amp turn on, but if you don't have the infinity sound system... don't worry about it

I'll go to work today and look up what that left cable is and let you know... kinda confused.

I'm only after an earth cable. The stock unit must have had one. I could screw my new HU's earth to the chassis somewhere but its grief and messy if there is one I can use locally.

The connector on the left actually loops back into the main white connector, becoming a yellow wire - I think that's power antenna (does the evo ariel need power??)

its needs to be ground to the chassis i dont think there is one on the actual harness

sorry I checked at work and it didn't give any results for the evo IX. Unfortunately I have to make my own harness for it too I'm gonna try to look something different up on 12v industry. See if my fellow installers can lend a helping hand in solving what the mystery wires are

errr wait I noticed you're from dubai.... do you have the UK version??? actually just give me your model, year, and trim. Because the US harness wires are going to be totally different.

i'm pretty sure i've never seen an evo with a power antenna so that rules that out.

anyways, buddha is right, mitsubishi radios are chassis grounded which means there is not actual wire for ground, when you screw the radio to the brackets, there's your ground. so for aftermarket stereos you can just ground to any bare metal behind the radio. I normally just screw into the bar that runs horizonatally behind the radio.
