Drives: 2005 AMR Built EVO 8 RS, 2004 AMR Built 480whp STi, 2005 Honda Civic SE 98whp/40mpg

Bought an RS w/o a stereo.. Now its time for one. Whats the sizes and how many??

Hey guys, i got a question. I have an evo 8 rs. I got it without a radio. So my question is. It comes with out the head unit, that means theres no speakers in the doors eaither, but im the sure the wiring is there for when you put speaker in the doors right.

Second question, if theres no speaker in it. What the speaker sizes on the doors and ect.. and how many speaker are there. Thanks guys.

4 speakers and 2 tweeters. one on each front door and two behind the rear seat head rest. the two tweeters are in pillars A and B (the two front pillars).

The only problem you will encounter is the speakers will have to be custom fit. stock 6 1/2"s actually sit in a plastic bucket. You will have to fabricate rings to make up the extra space, unless you can find some stock speakers. I used 1/4" lexan. screw the speaker into that and than screw the ring into the door. the RS also does not come with the pillar space to add tweeters. Unless you are gonna put a big bumping system, just by some decent three way or two ways.

Hey

Ok, do you guys think that i should just put some stock speakers in the doors and plliers since im not going ot be putting subs or any of that. Just some nice background music cuz i like to listen to my exhaust!!

Or since im going to put some in, put in aftermarket sparkers in?

Any reccomendations. Thanks

Throw in a set of pioneer speakers. They will fit in just about anything. If anyone has ever seen the speaker from a 92-95 civic, they have the same plastic basket, only smaller. Pioneer speakers fit right in, all the mouting holes even match up. Don't waste your time with stock speakers. Even the $40 base Pioneer speaker sounds x5 better than OEM.
