do any of you tint your windows for security?
I dont have an EVO yet im looking for the best deal since i dont have to deal with financing since i allready took out a cash loan from the bank
but in all my other cars since i live in las vegas and cops dont bother about tint since the heat and the sun i always black out my windows so people dont see my laptop or other important stuff inside my car
unless they really try to from the front window but that would be like them putting a sign over their head saying "HEY LOOK AT ME PEOPLE LOOKING AT THIS CAR THAT ISNT MINE AS IF WAS GONNA STEAL IT"
anyways yea thats what i do you?

nope, cause in Chicago tint is an excuse for the police to pull me over. Otherwise, I never leave anything visible inside the car. Either in the glove compartment or trunk.

I have my windows tinted (to legal limits in NC), but did it to keep the heat out and for looks. My windows aren't dark enough for security. Everything valuable goes in glove box or trunk.

I tint all my cars 20% for the look, security, and to help keep my interiors from sun fade. Usually dont get hassled to much, even though it is illegal here in PA.

I'm sorry but you have tint on your front windshield? No offense, but that just plan stupid.
Anyways, I have 5% all around. There is a big difference between my car, and say my moms car who has brown leather which shouldn't even be as close to as hot as my black leather interior. She is thinking about getting tint for her car, because she knows how cool my car can get, even though it's still hell in the summer. I didn't really get it for security, since I pull my radio face out when I leave my car in a parking lot or something but I guess it does help.

this is OT, but it fits in the title name
i'm getting an alarm put in first, then down the road getting the windows tinted. is it best to wait until the windows are tinted to apply the alarm's sticker?

I did when i lived in tn...20%. Actually caught several people trying to look inside the car but left. It looked like they had a hard time seeing inside.
But now that I am back in va....it came off quick

I do it for reasons stated above: heat, looks, and to prevent fade.
