Car PC in the evo
I was looking around and haven't seen too many evo's with one. I was in the process of finishing one in my STi when it was totalled. And since then I've been busy working on my house. Anyway, I've decided to spend so cash on the evo and begin a pc install within the next couple of weeks. I'll post some pics as I begin the install. Anyone whose done an install feel free to chime in with what you've done!

I'm sure you have already seen this site, but just in case you should check out mp3car.com I think I have seen a few evos there in the "show off your project section"
Something like this http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...tion-viii.html

I'd be very interested in this. A while back, I designed a whole Mac Mini system for my old car...sold it for the Evo though

Looks cool. I would try something like this if I had more knowledge on the matter.

i'd definitely love to see how you do this. i've thought about it myself and haven't yet decided how exactly i'd do the install. a buddy of mine had done a similar setup in his wrx a few years back and it was pretty sweet.

I am working on mine. I had it all bolted in, gotta work on some cosmetic stuff still though. Here is a preview all in dash.
Dremel is my friend

after
custom bios
I have newer pics, and ac molded with dvd, but its still rough around the edges. I was working on getting sound out to the speakers, but i found out it was pretty easy. I no longer have a head unit, and the sound card to the amp setup sounds pretty good.

I have one, put it in the 1st weekend I had the car, love it, can monitor engine with tactrix cable in realtime and switch maps with ecuflash on the fly as well. Also its connected to my meth kit and I can tune the meth with it as well, It has GPS, DVD, WIFI, etc etc............
For sound I used a digital audio converter instead if the craptacular sound cards that come on the EPIA motherboards, I built quite a crazy custom sound system for the car. I am selling all the custom sound system stuff but dont have enough posts on this site to post in the sales forum =(
Here is a link to the insane sound system I made myself and have for sale :

Here are some pics of my EvoPc :
