Stuck: Stock Speakers New Amp And Subs

I only have about a 550 dollar budget and all i really want is a crisp clean sound comming from my bass and stock speakers. im more concerned about sound quality rather then volume. Is there any amp and sub that can deliver great sound on stock speakers? Im looking for something i can go to bestbuy and circuitcity or even cartoys for. I really dont like to order things. Im also in need of a head unit something to go along with this setup since mines dosent even play cd's.

You have an Evo and it doesnt play CD's? I thought that was standard equipment on all Evo's. Regardless... I know you just want to go to best buy, CC, etc, but if you order off eBay you'll get much better deals. I got a new Alpine CD player w/ iPod hook up for 253. Heres the link for the CD player http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=CDA-9885. It retails for 350. You can buy this at Best buy, but you'll pay alot more. Also there was just a thread on this i believe, but you can make your factory speakers sound alot better just by running a good 4-channel amp through them.

For 550 you should be able to get the head unit and a good amp, but the woofer might be a little more.

If you want a clean sound and subs, first I would get a head unit that has subwoofer control. You can adjust the bass in your subs and not put alot of bass in your mid range speakers. My personal choice when it comes to amps are rockford fosgate. Subs I choose JL but since you are on a budget you could go with a few subs.

If you want a clean sound you might have to open up your budget a lil more so you can have an amp for your subs and a 4 channel for the mid-range speakers.

Yes, you can do it for 550, but not from CC or BB.

Your local classifieds may have someone getting rid of a stereo system that you can pick up for cheap.

your best off ording online, check out etronics.com..great deals, subs for 100, very good...i went with 1 12" in my evo, sounds great...i did pick up a pdx 1.600 amp though which is pricy, but even if you look on ebya they have deals, subs in a box w/amp for cheap.....amp kit abotu 50 bucks online...i have the pioneer 6900ub, very good radio, can hook up usb hard drive to it standard, no extra equpi...radio is only about 209 online...do not buy anything from best buy unless you know someone that works there, best buy discounts are about half price when i worked there, but i would recommend shopping online.
