Opinions on Alpine Type-S

My stock front speakers are blown and rattle to no end. Stopped by the local Auto Audio guy and he's recommending the Alpine Type-S. I got a quote of $80 + $30 installation.

I'm looking for a decent speaker that will sound good without an amp. I have an Alpine 9857 HU.

Do these speakers fit well, and how is the sound quality?

I listen to mostly rock and alternative if that helps.

Thanks

you could install them yourself, but his price is worth ite even the installation. Just make sure he won't try to rip you on saying he ran new wires and it costs like 50 bucks. But If he only charges you the speakers and 30 for labor thats a good Deal.
