They need to be familar with how chipped keys work. They cannot just hot wire it, they have to bypass the anti theft first, then hot wire it. I wouldn't be too concerned with it, just a standard alarm to prevent a break in.

Just get a good alarm. I just picked up a DEI Python 700 2 way alarm brand new off ebay for $180. The seller threw in a prox sensor, remote start, and bypass module. Thats a damn good deal.

If you want an added security install a toggle switch for your fuel pump and put it somewhere no one would find it.

Or you could add some piezo sirens inside the car. They are basically pain generators that make your head feel like its going to explode.

Or you could get crafty and get a smoke generator, install it under the seat, wire it to the alarm so when it goes off it turns on the smoke generator. Try to steal a car or jack a stereo with a car that is billowing smoke like crazy.

Ther are many ways to inmobilize your car with 5-10 sec methods:

undoing the UICP clamp by the TB(car would hardly start and wouldn't go faster than 5mph
unpluging fuel relay/fuses
undoing any of the coil plugs
undoing the clutch engagement/ starter switch , in fact you can wire it to a remote toggle switch and car wouldn't start.

If they really want your car then they will use aggresive force.

For example : You are taking of the alphalock of the wheels, and they come and stand next to you with a gun and they say "keep undoing your alphalock, and then give me the keys of your car"......

So if they really want it, they will just ask you "friendly" to give your keys....

If that happens you can always install a GPS locator so the police can track your car and deal with the same agressive force without endangering the owner of the car
