Viper 5900 SST remote battery life

Does anyone have any experience with the battery life of the remote for the new Viper 5900 SST alarm? I'm wondering if it has the same crappy 2-3 week battery life as the Compustar 2WSS-A.

I hope you're right. I'm worried that the 1 mile reception range for the SST remote will require a fairly powerful signal that will quickly run down remote batteries like the 2WSS-A.

MRCole, keep us updated. I'd like to know because I'm in the market to get the 5900.

Someone pointed out to me today that the 5900 uses the same remote as the 791xv, so it should last as long as yours. I guess you said it too, but I didn't catch it.
