Alarm Install Help
Hi,
I am installing a Viper 791XV Alarm. I dont want to install the remote start setup, so that cut down on some of the installation. I was reading this post another evo viii and ix alarm wiring diagram
It is for an 05, and i have an 06. So i think some stuff is different..
These are the outputs for the viper..
I am going to put the ones in bold I have questions about
Primary Harness
(-) 500mA Armed Output - It says this wire supplies a ground as long as the system is armed, but stops when it is disarmed. Where does this connect to?
(+)/(-) Selectable Light Flash Output - this is to flash the parking lights, but on the wiring diagram the parking lights have left and right, do i have to tap it to both?
(-) Remote Start Activation Input
(-) 200 mA Domelight Supervision Output
(-) Door Trigger Input, Zone 3
(-) Multiplexed Input, Zone 4
(+) Door Trigger Input, Zone 3
(-) Chassis Ground
(+) Siren Output
(+) Constant Power
(-) 200 mA Channel 2 Validity Output - What is this for?
Secondary Harness
(-) Second Unlock Output - What is the second unlock output for?
(-) Programmable Channel 5 Output
(-) Programmable Channel 4 Output
(-) Factory ReArm - On the other thread, i can only find disarm, no rearm wire?
(-) Wait to start input
(-) Factory Disarm - This goes to the gray disarm wire correct?
Door Lock Harness
(-) Lock (+) Unlock Output - Does this go to the violet - Power Lock? What about the + signal on these, will it do anything? Since the other thread only shows - connections for lock and unlock.
(+) Lock (-) Unlock Output - Does this go to the lt green - power unlock?
A few other questions, does the factory keyless entry still work? where have you guys mounted the siren?

For the '06 IX, there is no left/right parking light wire. There is only the green w/ yellow stripe wire. Connecting to this will flash both sides of the parking lights.

dont worry about any of the other wires.
use one + parking light wire....test for grn/ylw or grn/wht you can find this wire on the large white harness at the bottom of the fuse box.
for the lock/unlock, there is no need to hook an addition +12v wire. you only need to send a signal. do not be afraid if you get the lock/unlock reversed. if you do just switch them. if it hasnt changed, the lock wire starts as purple then becomes yellow.
the unlock wire is lt.grn. of course test for both. these wires can be found at the lower kick panel harness.

No, it is a positive trigger. He is right as there is no left and right wires in that location. There are else where in the vehicle. The color is wrong, i forget what color i connected to, but it was easiest to find the color wire coming off the steering column. Also, check the Cig lighter bulb, and reference that wire color to the parking lights.

I think thats for an optional acesseroy, something for example that you would want to blink or light up or make noise, Or you can use it as a Secondary Cut off to Realy Screw with a Car thief. That wire is not required to be connected. If you want to use it as a Secondary cut off your gonna need a 5 pin Bosch Style Relay not A Denso one.

help me out guys ! =) I am alsmost done
Okay this is where we are now..
italics is already connected and working
Bold I need help knowing where to connect
Gray is what I am omitting for now (not connected)
Car: 2006 Evolution IX
Alrm: Autopage RF-520 no remote start
Red Wire: +12V main power -> white (+) ignition /wires at the column
Brown wire:(+) Siren output -> siren from engine bay
White Wire:12V Parking Light output -> green/white (+) fbox
Orange/Red Wire: Dome Light relay Output -> White (-) fuse box
Black/Green Wire: 200mA (-) Channel 3 Aux
Gray/Red Wire: 2nd Channel trunk release Power input ->dont have module
Orange Wire: (-) 500mA Ground when Armed output -> KEY SENSE WIRE
Gray Wire: 2nd Channel trunk release Relay output -> dont have module
Black/blue Wire: (-) 200mA Channel 4 Aux
Black Wire: (-) System Ground
Violet Wire: (+) Possitive door trigger Input
Green Wire:(-) Negative door trigger Input -> white wire (-) fuse box white plug
Black/Red Wire: (-) 200mA Channel 5 Aux
Black/Violet Wire: (-) 200mA Channel 6 Aux
Pink Wire: (-) 2 step unlock / factory disarm output** -> Where too/how
Blue Wire: (-) Negative instant trunk/hood trigger -> Green/Orange in the trunk
Red/White Wire: (-) 200Ma HeadLight illimination output** -> where too/how
Brown/White Wire: (-) Horn output -> blue/red (-) horn swith
Yellow Wire (+) 12V Ignition Switch input-> black/white ignition
DESCRITIONS OF WIRES I NEED HELP WITH:
**Red/White Wire: (-) 200Ma HeadLight illimination output:
"This wire will operate the vehicle's factory headlights when integrated with a relay. this output supplies a 200mA negative (-) that will turn the vehicles headlights on 30 secs. when armed and disarmed."
**Pink Wire: (-) 2 step unlock / factory disarm output:
"The 2 steps unlock feature will work for the most fully electronics doorlock circuit. the vehicle must have an electronic door switch, which locks and unlocks all of the vehiecle's doors. When wired for this feature, press <unlock> one time, te alarm will disarm and unlock the driver's door only. If you press <unlock> two times with in 3 seconds, the alarm will disarm and unlock all doors"
The above a two features i bought this systems for orignally when I had it in my previous car, and the installer today did not install... I went over all the wiring and realized i could've done this myselft; he only charge me 50 bucks. =)
so far my car locks and unlocks all doors with the alarm transmitter, and I know the answer lies within the PINK wire but Im not sure if maybe i need to substitute it for the GREEN unlock wire? or if it needs to be connected somewhere...

If the car is NOT remote start capable, the orange should go into a relay for your starter kill, if this IS a remote start alarm, cut it.
Dont need to hook the orange to anything. cut it.
violet is used when the car has a + polarity door trigger, green when the car has a - polarity. So just cut the one you dont need.

you also mention I dont need the second harness, why is that? - the second harness controls the door locks? can you explain please?
