Dome light not working

I can turn the lights on and off manually but they refuse to turn on when i open the door. At one time, I had my Sirius wired to the power and ground of the map lights until i realized that they only get power when the door opens or you turn the switch on. So I relocated power to an alternate source under the dash and just grounded the wire to chassis. But since then, my dome light has ceased to work with the door. I checked the fuse I thought was the correct one and it is fine.. any other ideas?

i dont' have the evo repair manuals with me at work, but maybe there's a relay that controls it from the door switch and the relay went bad?

Do you Have Ground At the Black Wire with the Door open and the Switch set at Door. I F not Check the check to see if pin 1 of the junction Block has Ground, at the 20 pin Conector with the Door open, If yes Check for a Break in the Wiring.

Update Check the 3 pin Connector In the from of the Fuse box under the dash on the Driverside. Do you have ground when the Door is opened? athe The Black Wire. Does the Black Wire with a White stripe have power. The connector has to be conected and you goona have to Back prob the connector. The Connector is at teh Bottom Left of the fuse Box. Realy easy to ge to and Unplug. But if it is unpluged the light won;t work at all.
