Best Tool to Install/Remove Valve Sten Seals?

OK, I know about the MD998737 Tool to install the valve stem seals, but what about removing them?

Does the 4g63 (Evo VIII) require a special "narrow aceess valve stem seal pliers" or will a standard size work?

Also, most mfg's say you can use the VSS Pliers to both remove and install the seals ... anyone do that successfully?

thanks

I'd assume regular pliers would do the trick. Not sure on the 8s though

Thanks,
... but I'm looking for hands on knowledge.

I intend to use specific Valve Stem Seal Pliers, I'm just wondering whether the 4G63 requires the special narrow version of that tool.

Don't waste your money on a special tool for just the seals. I just rebuilt my head and pliers worked just fine. They come off without issue.

Well if regular pliers worked, I guess the regular VSS pliers ought to work.

I like using the right tool for the job, at least most of the time.

anybody else have experience with this removal and install process?
