Unhappy update on my lifter noise

i had posted up an issue i had with a noise in the top end of my car, and ive finally got the car apart. the cams, lifters and rockers are out of the car. i first pulled the intake side apart and everything seemed fine, but when i pulled the exhaust side apart is when i found some not so good news. when i pulled the lifters out for number three they had flakes of metal on them. wtf?? what would cause metal to show up there and not on anything else. intake side show no signs of anything. when i pulled the timing belt off i found that the oil pump was not lined up with the two points, it was 3 or 4 teeth off. but the rest of the timing was dead perfect. i had hit something and the oil cooler was busted and didnt know til the oil light came on but i shut it off as soon as i saw.

I would have the engine oil flushed and replace the lifters. your oil pump sprocket will be in time every 3 rev's of the crank everything will line up every 6 rev's of the crank. to time the oil pump just spin by hand untill it naturally rest near the mark, you'll feel it and when it rest near the mark just move it to line up and set the belt.
