Put a long breaker bar into the crank pulley. Make sure it is secure and this should stop it from moving. Also putting the car into gear will help this too as the motor will have to contend with moving the trans and clutch to spin. This should do it for you.

Honestly I would just pull the stuff on the side and redo the timing belt. This will give you the best truth in knowing that your not a tooth off. I have done the zip tie method a few times but it really only adds about an hour to the job and gives you a chance to know it is 100%. This would also be a great time to check your balance belt deflection if your still run those.
Since your not pulling the head then what is a little extra time spent to do things exacting. Best of luck.
