Middle- and Longterm Experience with ECUTEK

Hi

EcuTek seems to be a great product and the owners of 'ecutekked' Evo's are happy.

But..

...does anybody have middle- or longterm experience with EcuTek?
(middle- &longterm reference to mileage (>35'000 miles))

...does anybody have experience about the qualities on trackdays?
(additional heat build-up, oil temperature and so far..)

There can be problems with a stock engine as well, I absolutly know that.
But more boost means also more mechanical load.

I'm talking about moderate Modifications, for example:
- Ecutek (max. 23psi)
- Exhaust System
- Air filter
- Fuel pump

Thank you

Ecutek, Ecu Flash, Tech Tom, Cobb Access Port are all only as good as the tuner who is doing the tuning

They are all just adjusting the stock factory softwear

I have been running a ecutek tune for 20k and have no complaints. When I started running alky I did have to switch to a mbc to run the boost I wanted. Like Al said It's all about the tuner.

He could'nt use the ecu to raise the boost over 23psi.

My Subaru which trapped at 106 with a Unichip had an Ecutek tune at ~30K, dyno-tuned by Shiv twice (with boost flutter) and then road-tuned by Dave at Rallispec. I now have 93K, the same trap, much smoother and quicker partial-throttle and full-throttle response than with the Unichip, and no CELs. (I also had CELs after each Shiv dyno-tune.) Ecutek works for me. But the whole time, I wish I had more boost at launch.
