MZM tuned evo 9 MR

Big thanks to the guys at MZM in what turned out to be an all day affair. Mo worked his magic after a lunch break and here's what he came up with:

Mods on the base run:
Tanabe concept G Blue Turboback exhaust
Walbro fuel pump
Forge MBC (on the soft spring because im tard and didnt bother to check what was installed before i hooked it up)
K&N drop-in

We added colder plugs and the stiffer spring to the MBC on the other runs. Boost is set at ~22psi tapering down to ~19psi on 93 octane.

All I can say is WOW. just wow... went on the test run with Mo driving and I could feel the yank in my nutsack. The car definetly pulls HARD all the way to redline... Now to get my o2 housing in...

dont know what crank hp would be... i imagine gains would be similar to mine though probably a little less with the hks being more like 2.75" piping and the tanabe being a true 3".. but it should be pretty close.

So I took my car to the track to see what she'd do. All of my runs were very close together so here's just one of them:

R/T --- .7490
60FT --- 1.7843
1/8 ET --- 8.0439
1/8 MPH --- 85.73
1/4 ET --- 12.5432
1/4 MPH --- 112.50

This particular run was on 103 Octane shifting early from 1-2 hitting the rev limiter from 2-3 and 3-4... I'd imagine that someone that actually knew how to drive could probably get better times.?. This was my first time ever drag racing at a track...

Drives: 2008 EVO X. 05 Evo VIII Sold

i was wondering how you did that hp? cause my friend has an 06 MR wit just a 3" TBE, no 02 housing, HKS intake and and thats it, and he supposibly dynoed at 306 HP and i thought thats kinda strange, but he did run a 12.8 in the 1/4 mile wit a 1.8 60' and on 93 octane. you think the dyno was off? it was a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer. let me know wat you think.

This was on a mustang dyno, dyno dynamics reads much high as well as dyno jet.

Stories like these make me want to switch from my Subaru. Even if the Evo X can be faster, I'd be happy with an Evo IX like the one in this thread. Nice numbers, times, and trap.

I was under the impression that MZM only tuned using ECU Tek as an EMS. Is this not the case?

I can give you the details of this question via PM if needed.
