It would be my guess that Dynoflash does not use ECUtek, since, IIRC, ECUtek is $250 per license...

I believe Al uses Tectom (sp.?) to flash unless you specifically ask for an Ecutek flash which is quite a bit more.

well i wasnt it was going to upgraded by Works because they use ecutek too. They couldn't find the licence for ecutek so i just sent it out to al to have him update it. I fiured it was turned back to stock because works did not detect my ECU ever being flashed.

Al uses both ECUTek and Techtom. If you didnt specify ECUtek when he tuned your car, then you got techtom. The ECUTek would have been much more expensive.

YOu would know if you had EcuTek, because you would have paid no less than $650 for it due to the license. Al uses TechTom always unless someone specifically wants EcuTek, or unless it's a Subaru.

That's pretty funny going to Works to have them update a Dynoflash, haha...

Ecutek is the same through everyone, because of the license. The minimum is $650, although some places mark it up further beyond that for their own additional profit.

Drives: 2006 EVO9 MR, 1996 Eclipse 4G64T,

What is the main difference, beside $650 between a EcuTek flashed ECU and a Techtom flashed ECU? Advantages oer disadvantages?
