Flash for which AKI (Anti Knock Index)?

Hi,

I reside in Australia and I'd like to know what AKI rating fuel the EcuTek Flash is developed for?

Is it for 91, 93 or 94 AKI?

Are these compatibale with the Australian EVO IX's?

Please advise.

Cheers

EcuTek is just a tool that allows a tuner to modify the maps in the stock ECU ... it's up to your tuner to tune it appropriately for your application and the octane that you'll be running ...

I would tune for whatever octane you normally run. I tuned for 91 octane...I would be interested to see what hp/torque gains I would get when I run a 109/91 mix (4 gallons/11 gallons)

a flash for your car would be based off the ECU code that is currently in your car... so all currently unavailable (more are added with frequent updates from EcuTeK to its dealers) maps would remain the same, while fuel, timing, boost, turbo dynamics, rev limit, mivec, speed limiter, etc can be modified.

so if the AU cars have different det detection thresholds than a USDM or JDM ecu, because the flash would be based from an AU base file (most likely the same box code or a more current update) then all detonation detection maps/parameters would stay as standard.

hope that makes sense
