Evo 8 - Cold Start, Idle issue & Wideband reading odd numbers - Please Help!
Hey everyone,
New to this section of the forums. Let me give a breakdown of what has transpired over the last couple of weeks.
Took my car to the tuner locally, added Omni 4 Bar, removed maf, switched to E85 but tuned for dual map (i daily the car currently and Southern California is limited on e85 in some spots). Both maps have the same issue - car sits overnight, go to start and it will stumble to the point where it will die. If I sit and give it enough gas to stay alive for a minute or so it will pick up, idle high then eventually level out. Wideband shows very lean 20 (ish) while struggling.
I have since on the recommendation of my tuner replaced my spark plugs ($60), front o2 sensor ($150) and now the next recommendation is my IAC (which is approx $500). I have a feeling that it is an issue in my tune and no mechanical but I'm running out of options other than forking out the money and seeing if the next thing we throw at it fixes it.
I took a video early today after my cold start to show (i do however thing something is now wrong with my wideband because late last night after running ok with the exception of the starting issue, it started reading crazy numbers and all the way down to 8.0 on WOT. I am still using gasoline scale so 14.7 should be stoich, 12.1-12.5 WOT and 15.x crusing etc.)
I can also attach my logs from EvoScan and my actual map that currently sits on the car if anyone is familiar enough to give me feedback. Really looking for some help on this to try and resolve quickly and determine the cause.
Mods are as follows:
Injen upper and lower ic piping, intake. Straight filter no maf
Speed density omni 4 bar
1000cc rc injectors
Forge bov (vent to atmosphere)
Walboro 255
Manual boost controller
Evo ix turbo, Megan o2 housing
Turboback exhaust, straight pipe test
Egr block off
Innovate lc1 wideband
