EvoScan: Errors were found in the original data.xml (Mac)
I'm simply trying to edit JDM MAP to log boost but I'm getting, "Sorry, Errors were found in the original data.xml, you can not save the xml file until all errors are corrected first."
Search yields no results
I'm on a MacBook Pro running Parallels and EvoScan v2.9.0023. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.
Anyone experience this?
**** SOLUTION ****
You need to edit the XML file. I have a 2006 Evo 9 so my xml file is Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml If you are unsure which file to use open EvoScan and look at the Select ECU setting to help you determine which xml file to open.
It can be found here in your EvoScan folder: / DataSettings / Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml
Open the xml file in textEdit or your text editor of your choice.
Search "JDM MAP"
Locate "Eval = 0.19347*x-14.5"
Change the eval to 0.2369*x-14.3 (14.3 is based on your atmospheric pressure where you live)
Change "GaugeMax" and "ChartMax" from 30 to 35
Save the file and open EvoScan and locate JDM MAP and compare the Function column to what you just added, should match.
In virtual dyno, if running 1.2.3, open options, go to tab columns and profiles, check boost and type in JDMMAP, save.
You can now show boost in VD.

Yeah it's any field I try to edit I get that error. I haven't really dug around for the data.xml file yet but I didn't see it anywhere, you recall where exactly it is?
Thanks for helping!

I got the same error on a different computer running the same setup and mine after a new hard drive and fresh install. Changing the permissions doesn't help either. Thanks to Tom of tscomp I have a solution and I wanted to share with those few who may have the problem.

Yes, only get the error when trying to edit within evoscan. Otherwise it's good-to-go when logging. It's mainly just an annoyance and I was concerned it was a sign of a bigger underlying issue. I will try to find the error using IE. Thanks for the tip.

Heres the xml file if anyone cares to take a look and see if there is anything obviously wrong with it.
