it's because of the latest firmware upgrade. we should talk to tactrix guys not evoscan.

Got the same issue going on here...I actually have to walk with both my cables (1.3 and 2.0) since my 1.3 has no trouble reading the codes.

Hmm maybe I'll stop at a parts store and have them read the code then... So its the 2.0 that's having the problem reading the DTC Codes..? Or does it have to do with the rom also. I'm also running the same rom the OP has with Tephra V7

BUMP..

I can ECUFlash works no problem, it can Read/Flash in a breeze.

However, on EvoScan... It will log but won't read DTCs, Clear, or Activate the Actuators IE I would test to see if I can get the Rad Fan on HIGH...

I've tested on Both 2.8, 2.9 with my 2.0 Cable.

This is exactly what is happening to me too. I have an Openport 1.3r that works but it would be nice to pull codes and use the idle speed control actuator with my new Openport 2.0 that I just spent a bunch of money on lol. Anyone figure out this J2534 error 16 issue yet please??????

I'm sure he knows, and I'm sure if he was interested in fixing it...it would be done already.
