ecu periphery2 6FDF
So broke down and bought an evo..... i get the infamous 0300 error so i went through the instructions in ....
disable P0300 test
copied the appropriate html code for the older ecuflash versions (mine is 1.29). when i opened up the ecu periphery2, instead of a "EFDF" which it should be from factory, it has "6FDF" already in there.... so i dont want to take it out unless i know what it does...
now i dont know what this does as Junior tuned this car supposedly. (i seriously doubt he will share his secrets hehe)...
anyone know what 6FDF or in hex 0x6FDF does in the ecu periphery2?

efcf disables po300 bits 4 and 5 set to 0
efdf has bit 4 set to 1
6fdf swiches off po443/446/403/243/090/2263 everything else stays same as efdf

Take a second and read a bit more, then understand that you are representing multiple on/off bits with that hex code.
Smart moves would be to use ECUFlash v1.42. Not only does it have bug fixes and upgrades, it will include the blobbit maps that will allow you to independently disable certain periphery bits without working out the hex value you are trying to represent.
If you are really stubborn (or have some amazing good reason to) you can even install ECUFlash v1.42 after renaming your first ECUFlash directory to something like "ECUFlashv1.29" and still be able to bring up the old version if you need to.
See MrFred's detailed periphery mapping for more info. If you want to stick with old, broken times you can download the spreadsheet he made to convert a blobbit set to hex.

1.42 works with 1.3U cables and the new openport 2.0 cable.
So you can upgrade.
