I noted a lot of tip-in knock initially with the 94170015 v5.10 ROM.

I started over fresh with a known good ROM and xml and I really haven't had much of an issue since. I get the occasional knock light that I believe is a false knock event, but it's pretty rare now.

I don't know what went wrong on the first time I installed 94170015 from 94170008, but it was pretty much every time I got on it I was having an issue with false knock and I could not tune it out. I've just caulked it up to something I did wrong and moved on and the car runs great on v5.10 and I haven’t even touched the newly defined knock tables.

If you are having issues, I'd suggest starting fresh with a known good ROM and XML.

Are you normally using the Alt Maps or the standard maps?

Good suggestion Jim,

Make sure you have the alt map switch over load point tuned correctly.

Doesn't the load switchover point only become an issue if you are trying to switch to that map over the load threshold?

I think I may be well behind... I am thinking of the ACD button activation method.
