help cant richen up my e85 fuel map!

so im having trouble with richening up the top end of my fuel map my afr wont get any richer then 13.7-13.5 this is really fustrating me the lower i put the number in the cell it wont get any richer!!

so i wanted to know what u guys with 1000cc injectors are running.

i have rc 1000cc scaled at 680

and when ive calculated out my idc it comes to the mid to high 70% at WOT up top

so im confused as to y i cant add more fuel!!!

so i was wanted to look at ur fuel maps to see if maybe there is a sweet spot number that does the trick or maybe if i can get some help with my situation.

Silly question. Have you mount a bigger fuel pump? (Walbro for example)

The absolute richest you can input into the map is 7.4AFR.

Do an experiment and input 7.4 in all the load cells after 100 load and see if it changes... It will run like a semi truck, but thats not the point. We're just checking for the AFR on the wideband at this point...

yes i have a bigger fuel pump a walbro

the same thing happend with my 720cc injectors but my afr was 14.1 around there so i though i was maxing them out and then i got 1000cc injectors and i know there not maxed out but i cant seem to get it richer then 13.7-13.5 afr and the injectors are only at the high 70's as far as IDC

and yes ive alread tryed changing all the cells to 7.4 and still didnt get anyricher

like anything below 9.1 in the fuel table it wouldnt get richer but i could raise the number and it gets richer.

im so damn stumped right now and would like someones help with what could be wrong

my
ltft low is -0.6
ltft mid is 1.6
and my stft mainly hovers around -4 to -2

so im so damn stumped right now someone please help

Possibly a W/B issue?
Could the FPR be weak/bad?
Does batt voltage log show min. of 13.5v through entire rpm range?

I am using scaling value of 585 for my 1150cc injectors on E85.

1000's on E85 tend to be in the low to mid 500s. I have used stock and then just played with the latencies depending on brand. The last set of RC1000s I did the scaling was at 543.

Double check to make sure a vacuum line didnt come off the FPR or something as well.

my w/b is fine

the fpr im guessing is fine as in all the hoses are perfect im tripple checked this area and on my 91 tunes i can make the afr ratio dance like a cheap stripper but on e85 on 1000cc its weird!!

my battery volts are 13.7 across the board

and well i know they got more left in them to throw out fuel but it just wont!!!

when i went back and looked at my e85 logs on 720cc injectors it read at 121% IDC so they where maxed out and now im getting roughly the same afr on my 1000cc as on my 720 and the fuel is not being delivered for some odd ass reason on my 720's it was obviously b/c they where maxed out on my 1000cc idk i could try to lower the scaling and see if that may help!!!

but i dont think it will alot of people where telling me the sweet spot for 1000cc injectors are anywhere from 622-680 ish and mine are at 680 will lowering the scaling make things rich? or leaner?

Okay, so I take it you haven't tried my quick test? Oh well, hope you find what you're looking for...

Good luck to you...

Lower scaling digits = richer, higher scaling digits = leaner

With Larger Injectors-

Lower scaling makes it richer
Higher scaling makes it leaner

Higher latency numbers will increase idle richness and trims in corresponding fashion. Obviously it will affect cruise as well. I did 1000's at 543 and a set of 1200s at 680 all in the last 2 weeks on E85.

actually yes ur test was the first thing i did when i was having this problem but i will try lowering the scaling number and see where that gets me. ill be back when my trims are set and let u guys know whats up.

so i tryed the 542 scaling and it made things a lil better my afr when form the high 13's to the low 13's but wouldnt get any richer then that it stopped getting richer with numbers smaller then 9.0 in the fuel cells

i tryed 520 and 442 scaling and it made my idle and cruising afr richer alot richer but for sum reason it couldnt get over that low 13 afr hump at wot and the smaller i made the scaling number the lower my boost got but the afr stayed the same!!

so my next thought is whats the latency that makes the up load/ rpm range richer? maybe i need to add to that number to make it richer

also for now im keeping the 542 scaling b/c it felt the best and it didnt change my boost. and i felt more power out of it. but my IDC went up to 100% which is kinda weird i think?

so like i asked b4 what is the latency voltage that i need to add too to make it richer up top? for now thats the only thing i can think of to help my situation

While Your mileage may vary what i found is the 14v controls idle and the next lower voltage controls cruise and top end . Making that 11 volt one bigger numerically will add fuel to the cruise and WOT fueling unless something else is wrong. A lot of latencies I have seen show the 11 volt being around 50% larger numerically than the 14 hopefully this makes sense. Maybe you could post your current latency values so we could see them?

Good Luck mang
