Stay with the OEM ECU and get a flash. You will not be able to take full advantage of your mods until you flash.

You are more than ready for a flash. Just go with the stock ecu and a good custom flash.

ya with your better intercooler, pump and exhaust DO NOT do a mail in flash, would be a total waste man. Get a real tune, and you will be blazzing fast.

Yeah this shouldn't be too hard to tune with a flash . Just make sure that you get someone to log the car after its been flashed (preferably with a wideband A/F).
Running that car with the fuel pump and no flash probably has it running a bit rich though.

I suggest replacing the 2 1/4" resonator in the Greddy EVO2 cat-back with either a 3" pipe or a full-through 3" resonator. I replaced mine with a pipe. Sound is a tad louder, but not too loud.
Get a custom dyno tune from an experienced EVO tuner. You won't be sorry.

You heard wrong. A good tuner (preferrably hands on) can tune an evo just fine with the flash method....it might take a few flashes to fine tune it though. Search around on this forum and see.

OT I have the same exhaust. How much gain did you get by upgrading the resonator? How expensive was it to do this mod? How much louder did it get? I like how quiet it is now.

A flash IMO is the best mod you can do to an EVO at ANY stage even stock.
You must datlog and send the logs to the tuner afterwards to actually TUNE the car if you are doing an E-Flash, otherwise get a custom tune.
I have used 3 of the major vendors on evom, the best e flash is listed in my sig, hands down.

A mail in flash won't be a waste. You don't need a aftermarket ECU yet. Well, unless you have that much extra money to spend. Your OEM ECU can handle these parts just fine.
If you have a Evo IX then you get more benefits out of the flash. I say 20-30 whp more.
Do a M1 flash with jester at http://www.jestrtuning.com/
They will take good care of you.
I spent $52 for my flash. It worth every god damn penny.

Oh and for the record.
How long have you been driving your car without having it flash ???
Specially when you have a aftermarket fuel pump installed. You must be crazy buddy.
