Cable for ecuflash

Hi

is there any option on buying only connectors, because I already have obd 2 interface, with which I can dataloging. Now I want to rebuild that cable that I could also use ecuflash.

So please if anybody knows a store with that connector (white one) I will be very happy. Also is there any wiring diagram for connection on the net?

thx
Matej

damn, it's not like OpenECU charging a lot for it. they put plenty of their time on the software and it's free. So the least you can do is to buy the cable as a donation for their hard work.

Just buy the cable its like $94.00 with shipping and it comes in 2 days and takes no effort to make it work, its the least you can do for all the effort made in making evo tuning software 100% free and available to everyone....

I second that. Dont be a cheap ***, you know how much time it takes to make a program like this, All the hard work and headaches and research. Just think of buying the cable as a way of saying Thank you Colby for your hardwork, you really did not have to do shyt for the EVO community

If it matters, the cable is the same as the one used for ECUTEK, atleast from the naked eye. But I agree, pay the measely $94.00 for such a small part of an ingenious software/hardware that a deserving person is asking for.

Well, you probably don't want to do that unless you know what you're doing. If so, then pretty much everything you need to know is on the openecu.com forums.

But it's not inside. Colby builds these cables himself.

Yeah, the cable is wired in a way to trigger a bootstrap sequence, once that happens then a bootloader is loaded into the ECU's ram and allows you to upload and download the ECU's firmware..

to be completely honest.. You are taking money away from the guy who made a breakthrough in the Evo community, I think the least any of us can do is to purchase the cable. I can tell you all of these OBD-II cables are slightly different, some are direct access, some use an Elm interface chip, but even though they may look alike, most are pretty different.

Yes, you can make your own cable with an RS232/USB chip, but I doubt anyone would tell you how to make it (or even knows how besides Colby..)
