Engine cut out??help!!!!!

please help

i drive an evo 6 tommi makinen edition and im worried that somethings wrong with my engine

the car shuts off for a split second when i punch the throttle to the max and noticed that when ever my boost gauge reaches 20 psi the car shuts off for a split second with a big bang sound, iv been told that since my car is entirely stock the ecu cant handle 20 psi and since its winter the psi runs higher and reprogramming the ecu should solve the problem. it only happens when the psi reads 20 and cuts out the engine as a safety procaution i have been told....

any idea what might be causing this cut out???

cheers

Drives: the friggin' wheels off.

That's fuel cut because your boost has exceeded the "safe" limit as programmed into your computer. You need to remove the fuel cut via reprogramming your ECU somehow (not the same as for 7s/8s/9s). The ECU+ is an amazing piece of equipment, but the only way to get rid of that is to:
A. lower your boost
B. Get a standalone (like AEM EMS)
C. somehow flash your ecu to get rid of that.

ECU+: Is that considered a sponsorship?

nothing too technical, it can be done useing ECuflash, very simple.

you are getting a fuel cut when ur boost esceeds a predetermined value. feels like the car is dead!

so ANNOYING!

nothing too technical u got a MBC or EBC?

hmm weird ,,just turn down ur boost slightly as i said above when ur boost is too high the ecu reads it and cuts fuel...car seems dead..

if u lift off the throttle for a second and then go back on the throttle u will get back power,, that is until it happens again..

this does not happen everytime u go X to board (WOT) right? only sometimes?

PM me if u want further info i can help.
