going to get my first flash...need some advice

The guys at Jestr said this in reply:

"First thing you need to determine are what are you goals. The stock intake is designed quite well, so you would only need a K&N Drop in filter or the like. Exhaust is really dependent on how loud you want it. The main thing would be to remove the catalytic converter. Forge would be a good choice for BOV and boost controller. Make sure you get the Forge RS BOV if you decide to go that route. The stock 9 BOV is good for up to 22 psi, so you may not even need it. You can extract as much as 30-50 HP with the flash alone.

What do I need to plan (as far as parts go) to "remove the catalytic converter"??

Thanks

Your cat is the main power loss in you exhaust. If you go with a straight pipe, you will have the most gains, or a high flow cat which is not as good. HF cat is legal, test pipe is not. Or a cutout can be welded into your downpipe before the cat

Just search for "test pipe" in the classifieds or anywhere on the internet...lots of companies make them. it just simply bolts to downipipe and cat-back in place of the converter

Or you can go with what i have......the DC sports downpipe with built in cat-delete.....just keep in mind that if you wanted to put the cat back in you cant.......once you install this DP but it fits great on the 9 with minimal shimming of the front underbrace

3" all the way. Have some pics but they're not the best. Great bang for the buck...the difference in pipeing size from stock is noticeable
