Evo8 Ecu in dsm
Hello, my friend has a 95 dsm with a evo 8 ecu, we are trying to get it to run on SD (had an old school aem v1 in it before and ran like ****), he has an omni 3bar hooked up, GM IAT on the IAT input, and pte 1200cc (from what he told me). I can get the car to start up and idle at 14.7 with +-3% swings but the latencies and scaling I've put in for those injectors do not match up at all with what I see others using. 11v is around 1.392ms and 14v is 1.104ms with 943 on scaling and LTFT is around +1%. If I drop the latency anymore they get very unlinear and swing rich to lean in open loop and closed loop scenarios. Car voltage is around 13.8v.
On idle when you touch the throttle at all it will peg lean and stumble or kill itself.
I've put in 10 units into TPS enrichment with no positive effect on throttle tip in. If I increase the latency up to 1.5ms+ for 14v it will idle rich in the high 10s low 11s but then I can free rev the car without dying and will somewhat lean out still.
I've also noticed the pulsewidth of the injectors does not change one bit in the logs, it will stay at 1.5xxMS with no change at all... which will definitely lean the car out and die when I free rev it. Has anyone come across the pulse width not changing at all like this? I will post some logs in a minute.

Here is the log of what is happening. You will notice IPW does not change at all until the car is literally about to die and it drops IPW to 1.28ms

He also has PTE 1200cc, did you find these injectors to be pretty bad on idle like this?

Injectors are Lucas 1200cc etched on them are 01d135b. It is on a Maf tune right now, since no matter what I changed on the SD/ve and rpm/ve tables (even doing big extreme changes) they made no difference, and it would just instant kill the car with any tps change.
On Maf tune, (in open loop) I can achieve a 13.8-14.1afr that is pretty stable but I cannot get these injectors to idle anywhere near 14.7 afr, once I drop the latency just a little bit to try to achieve a 14.7 afr it will start to swing real bad from 16 afr to 13 afr but cruising it is achieving 14.7-15.2afr and is pretty spot on for WOT target AFr to wideband afr (target is 11.3afr it does a 11.1-11.2). But now it has another problem, when the car goes into fuel cut decel slowing down to a stop sign or red light, when you put the car into neutral from gear, the car will make a pop out the exhaust and kill itself every time. It only does this when you go from fuel cut decel in gear to neutral, if you slow down to a light in gear and fuel cut decel kicks off, the car won't kill itself.
I will post up the rom he has in the car, just got to charge up the laptop since it is dead at the moment.
