490 TQ 375 Whp stock turbo Evo IX Stroker

Just wanted to make a brief post about the IX I tuned tonight with stock turbo and cat which exceeded my wildest expectations

Its basically a Stage 3 evo with a 2.3 L by Pruven

Kudos to the team at Pruven for pulling off an amazing job on this record setting machine

Details here : Evo IX Stroker build-up

I am using the new Dyno Flash IX reflash system

Tomrorow I am going to retune with a obviously needed test pipe

This is compared to the car stock

wow this is nice!! So how do you feel about a 2.3 and BrEvoIx-20g? would a ported head be worth adding? finally, any idea what the power difference would be between the br20g and oem evo ix turbo on a car with the same mods?

Just keep in mind - this thing hits max whp at 4,000 and holds the power steady all the way through 7,000 plus - it feels like a giant turbine

Best of all it feels 100% stock unltill you jump on it - with the MIVEC stock intake cam the idle and driveability is just like a stock IX

It should make 500 TQ and 400 whp tomorrow without the cat

I have no idea of the answer to any of these questions

All I can tell you is a 2.3 and any stock turbo is a real TQ monster and something I have been dreaming about for a long time

Lucky for us we got a customer who wanted to take a chance and throw some mods on a brand new car

The wheel and tire package and suspension rival the engine - its prob the ultimate street evo

I compared the dyno curve to a moded Dodge Viper and new Z-06 vette and this Evo hits max TQ at the same point as both of those fine machines

As for a street driven car - this is about as good as it gets for all around balance

I would have done things a bit differently IF I had 100% control of the project, I would have gone with the Buschur 3" full exhuast and race fmic - but obviously this customer is a huge JDM fan and the JUN Evo IX and HKS Evo IX were big inspirations for my suggestions in setting this car up.

BTW - to all my customers who have endured listening to me talking about this car over the past two weeks - thanks for enduring my constant talking about the IX stroker. I am really happy that the realization of the project not only matched the expectations but exceeded them.
