Driving Shoes?

I've got a pair of Puma Speed cat's. I love them for daily driving and autox.

What are you guys using for daily driving in the winter/inclement weather? The design of the speed cats, and most other driving shoes, don't do a good job keeping weather out. I need something to wear in the winter but want to try and maintain the pedal feel.

ive lived in florida my whole life so flip flops are a must in the summer... but I take them off to drive and just barefoot it. however the soles of my feet are very worn and very hard from being barefoot so much, so they dont mind the ritual stomping that comes with driving evos FAST. when the weather changes or when i go out i usually sport a pair of supras with a flat sole that sticks reall well to every peddle, even when i step in a puddle, which is often in sunny florida. my buddys got a pair of ferrari edition pumas, but i think itd be a travesty to own those with out driving them in a ferrari so i cant bring myself to do it. He seems to like how they drive though.

i hate driving in flip flops or heels... so i usually just do barefoot then. Pumas are great for daily/autox so far, but i wanna try something better

Oakleys are good driving shoes but not hard-core driving shoes, they have some padding in them for comfort...

Since it rained a bit at nationals this year, i wore these total fashion statement sandals. It was a step up from soggy socks wrapped in a wet sneaker!

Puma Speedcats are a LOT better to drive in than Pilotis. Pilotis, meanwhile, are a lot better to walk in. Not really what you would expect but yeah. I will not wear my Pilotis if I really want a good drive.

I rock the Piloti Prototipos. They give a great feel for the pedals. On top of all of that they are extremely comfortable.

I have two pairs. Piloti Sebring (brown leather):



and Piloti Prototipo (green suede):



I guess it's fair to say they're better to drive in than many shoes, but I would not call them "driving shoes" by any means. The soles are like a half inch of hard rubber. It's hard to bend the shoes if you pick them up and try, so no way can you bend the soles with your foot while driving.

Of course, I'm comparing them to Puma Speedcats like these (BMW Sauber), which are an absolute joy to drive in but can beat up your feet on long walks. I can deal with that though. I'll be buying more pairs of these, but I don't ever see myself getting Pilotis again unless I get a great deal.
