Heel - Toe
Does anyone find this more challenging to do in the evo than in some other cars... for instance, the S2K... it seems to be much harder in the evo... Any pointers besides wearing Puma shoes to fit your feet better, lol...

well I use adidas shoes and I´m gonna get the new DC race shoes and I find it very easy to do it in an evo. But somehow it differs between cars.
But well I´m used to dsm´s

I have size 8 feet so I don't have problem in pretty much any cars, also being short and skinny helps. Only thing is that s2k is more forgiving to mess ups while the evo is quite sensitive even to a slight mismatch

change the pedals ,if its hard for you. Get a sparco or something witch is designed to do a heel and toe.
It will be easyer.

I don't do the heel toe thing, I find it more difficult than simply "rolling" your foot from the brake to the gas. I use about 1/4 of the right side of the brake pedal pad and the rest of the bottom of my shoe to reach the gas pedal. When I want to blip the gas, I kind of roll my foot to hit the gas, but keeping the far left side of my shoe still on the brake. At least the "heel-toe" tha I am thinking of is much harder to do than simply "rolling" you foot.

its really irrelevant exactly HOW u blip the throttle. as long as you properly blip the throttle to the correct rpm (while braking) and you slip it into the lower gear that you want, that is the purpose of this technique.
yes evo is setup for this, definetly do not need aftermarket pedals unless you have abnormally small feet

i have no problem doing this with the evo. i always wear pumas so bulky shoes are never a problem (not only puma racing shoes) The evo is one of the easiest cars i have ever driven to heel toe. A mazda 3 is almost impossible lol.

I found my Evo IX's pedals to be set up perfectly to use the ball of my foot on the brake and the outside edge of it to reach the gas pedal. But I wear a size 12 and extra wide shoes.

It's a difficult skill, but I had my buddy teach me when he drove my car. When I saw him do it perfectly, I know I could as well. After a few months of working it into your DD routine, it becomes second nature. Good luck.

The first time I ever drove an Evo, I was VERY happy with the pedal placement
A difficult car the heel/toe in are Audi's. Their gas pedal is placed further down to the floor than the brake. When you go to blip the gas, you end up mashing the brake. I've finally found a way to do it, but it takes a bit to get used to.

I found this to be true also with Audi and Porsche. Its not good for the street but on the track when you are really braking hard, the pedals line up perfectly.

I have size 10.5 feet and have no problem with the Evo. I have done heel toe in pumas, boots, sandals, dress shoes, etc.... I find its more about being able to rotate your knee inwards than moving around your feet.
Sandals are the hardest, dress shoes are pretty easy since they have a bit of a heel, lol
