Opinions on AP Racing Clutches

I am not too familiar with AP racing and am looking for opinions on their clutch kits. Does anyone know about their performance, durability, drivability, and/or price?

Also, I remember hearing in passing a few times that upgrading the clutch plate, but continuing to use the stock VII pressure plate will increase performance over stock while still maintaining stock drivability. Is there any truth to that statement? The pressure plate is what mostly increases the grip and performance, is it not?

Thanks for everyone's time.
