need help asap with removing the end of the cv joint

trying to replace my outer front driver cv boot. ive searched all over the net all over this site the how to's everywhere even the service manual and got nothing

i just need to know how to get the boot on
do i need to pull the axle all the way out or just knock the end (splindled knucked that goes through the spindle) off i have the axle out of the spindle and evo moto says to pull the axle just pry with a bar but its not moving so i dont have it completly out

please any tips would be greatly appreciated my cars been down for a week

already have the new boot pliers and grease just need to get it installed and yes the axle and everything is in perfect condition as i caught the tear the same day (on the track rock rip)
