ABS ring question. RR axle. missing teeth? can i replace?

been searching for DAYS... can find no information.


my ABS system is acting up. the previous owner smacked a curb and bent a tooth on the ABS ring on the RR wheel. while investigating the problem, i noticed a couple of things:


the ABS ring is missing teeth. a lot. like three here. four there. but they don't look broken. the ring looks as though it were made that way. is this normal? the LR ring has teeth all the way around. any ABS ring i've ever seen has teeth all the way around.
is it possible all those teeth broke off JUST right/even/the same/clean?

also, can i replace ONLY the ring? on my old car, i had to replace the whole axle, as the ring was a permanent part of the axle.

i don't want to pull this apart for repairs until i have an idea of what i need. the local dealership has NO clue WTF i'm talking about. scary.

Any confirmation on if the ring be replace individually? I have same issue and thinking about getting a junked axle to get a new ring OR is it a factory part that I can buy the stealership?
