3 Transfer Cases broken - What to do?

The Evo is a Evo V RS with about 600bhp.
The first transfer case broke with normal use (the Evo has now 10 years or so).
The second one broke with the pick up of the car with the power upgraded to 600bhp.
The third transfer case broke while doing a trackday.

All of them broke in the exact same spot:

What to do in this case?
I know Sheptrans has them but I do not know if that part is upgraded.
I just want something that just doesnt brake.
Please help me out here

should give them a call and inquire about it. A built transfercase is definitely good though with 600 bhp

I was having the same problem with my evo8... My car make over 650awhp, i went through 2 t-cases, then had shep build me a stage 3. Still works perfect 1 year, tons of track days later!!! He really knows these transmissions, and transfer cases.

The preloads from the factory are all wrong for higher HP cars. I recommend Jon at TRE.. He does awesome work. Plus he may have some for sale.. Shoot him an Email.. That is the best way to contact him.. www.teamrip.com

May want to ask about or look into shotpeening or cryo- treating the gear.

I agree withShotpeening.. I don't agree with Cryo.. I think it make the gears hard and that makes them too brittle.

You need the bigger case bolt upgrade, This is what is most likely causing this.

its a combination of needing the clamp load of the larger bolts and also having it shimmed correctly.

Well when you get the bolt upgrade they will re shim it for the proper preload.
