Ok. Here's the story about the si. When I was lined up for my 2nd run, and this guy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to race him. Then I look back and saw that he was driving a lightly modded si, I was like sure. The si got me at the start because he fouled by .031 seconds, but I pretty much took him from the middle till the end. The si ran 16.1 seconds. I talked to him after the race and at first he thought my car was an evo. He was very suprised that a "automatic" can run such a time. I love my car, just the bad part about the car is very difficult to start since the RA cannot launch. It's very sluggish in the begining, but it makes up in the middle and the end.

It will launch. I've pulled quite a few 1.80-1.82 60's with only one slow down light, even with the larger X turbo.

Yup, using Eric's launch technique my best 60' is 1.872 on a 13.052 second run.... with Eric's 1.80 I would have myself a 12 second slip damnit!
Keep at it, and you will just get better

It may have some long term effects if done too often. A few selective launches with minimal mods will probably show no ill effects. I have done quite a few in my car and we have done TONS in the shop Ralliart and its trans is slipping now only due to it making a lot of horsepower with the FP Red.

Hey Eric,
Do you have baseline dyno sheets for your car, and the shop car? The only baseline dyno sheets now available on the shop car I have found are the ones using the baseline compared to other runs. Both of the ones I saw for the shop car were in the 195 HP 210 torque range... what did yours make stock?
Later,
Keith
