STM's Dyno Numbers vs The 1/4 Mile:

So a lot of you may know our Mustang dyno here at STM seems to be putting out some oddly low numbers for the mods the cars have... Well our local 1/4 mile track (NYIRP) finally had their opening day and we got to get a few cars out there to see what these numbers really mean.

This is Emery's brother (Mike Cronin) daily driven 2003 Evo VIII:

Stock Turbo
AMS FMIC
JMF Intake Pipe
Custom STM Exhaust
Eibach Pro Kit
STM Tuned
Stock Cams
25 Psi

TQ 283
HP 272

1/4: 12.0 @ 114

There are a few more pictures of his car here:
http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...nin/cronin.htm

I got a few videos, but the vid of the 12.0... my camera ran out of memory and stopped just short. Figures. So I made sure to post a pic of the car with the #93 to match the timeslip

We also had a 90 AWD Talon TSI on E85 there... That car made 325ish on the dyno and ran an 11.99 @ 115 (1.9 60') ...with alot of room left to go!

So, all in all after seeing the numbers compared to the real track times... not so disappointing after all...

I think all of us at STM can expect a very good season here in Rochester!

Wow, low reading dyno indeed.

No matter what happens after Saturday I want a stock block avatar. Can you hook me up Emery?

I have no idea what it will make on another dyno. At the end of the day a dyno is just used for a referance while tuning.

Yes it has a walbro 255 in it as well.
