Bone Stock Evo IX w/flash - 12.1 (vid)

This is my buddy Toufik.. who had an Evo 3 from the dealer in '95... had it 11 years and got a IX! He is far and away the best driver in our small island of Antigua.

Hit the HQ button right below the vid screen for the high quality version.

Timeslip?

I think their are some serious details missing here. There is no way in hell a stock IX with just a flash ran a 12.1. Is that a FQ model? Did the flash raise the boost significantly? Was it ran on race gas? That track looks a little odd too. Not taking away from it but need some more details before claiming it runs what most full bolt on evo's run.

Drives: 08 C63, 06 IX RS, Gallardo-Gone but not forgotten...

If you look at the vid closely it sounds as if he is purging NOS through revs before each run It also looks like the interior is all there which really brings on the question, Where is the extra HP coming from??? Regardless nice runs...

The track is extremely accurate.. Stock evos run mid to low 13's. We have two R35's down here and one ran 12.1 and the other has run 11.6 with mods. Not to mention I've verified the clocks with my racelogic vbox

Yes he is running a race/pump mix.

I think you should consider this guy was driving an evo since 1995 and before that two 180 sx's. Anyway stock turbo record is 10 low so it makes sense Toufik is running this time. Also its a jap spec like all our cars down here so a bit lighter than us spec.

Oh full interior gsr with sat nav.

And btw, i used to run 12.0 in my 6 with pipe off, turbo elbow, and flash all else stock. And he us doing basically the same thing with a full stock exhaust. How is that possible? Have you ever put a evo 6 turbo next to a 9 one? You guys need to check yr maths.

Regarding the marvelous purge theory, toufik as a habit has always seemed to bring the revs up before the run. Its funny because I nor Toufik have one idea how you would do what u suggest we are doing. Lol

Sorry for so many posts. Im on my phone.

Nice ETs. But is this car bone stock or "Bone Stock", which one is it? because even an turbo elbow counts as a mod.

Sorry I was relating a story about my Evo 6 which used to run 12.0 with a flash, turbo elbow, downpipe and a dropped pipe. So I was trying to illustrate low 12's would be possible in a bone stock 9 because of the significantly larger turbo in the 9.

Anyway, yes he is my close friend and there is not one single part on his car except a couple guages.

Did you read what I wrote above... the distance and timing system are GPS verified by the racelogic box I have. Also we have two R35's down here, one does 11.6 and one does low 12's. Right in line with what the new Skylines should run. Stock Evos at stock boost and no flash always run mid to low 13's. Trust me we have A LOT of jap import cars for a small island and they all run where they should be.

Toufik is running consistently this time, so I will try to do another video in car, so you can see how our crappy track is such an advantage lol and I'll show the car has zero parts, stock cat, etc just flash on it trust me.

This time is indicative of someone who has lived and breathed street racing in Antigua since he was like 13. He is a legend down here and trust me nobody drives an Evo as well as he does and nobody has as much seat time in an Evo than he does.
