and of course powered by the same identical parts which Buschur sells to the customers. Just like on my car which uses all off the shelf Buschur parts.

It is most similar to the 82HTA turbo, but it has a larger 86mm wheel instead of the 82mm. Originally the 3582HTA was inteneded to displace the Garrett 35R by spooling faster and creating more peak power. It did this very well. The 82mm HTa wheel was a 59mm inlet, so it was actually smaller than the GT35R compressor wheel, this always confused people. They would ask "how is it bigger and smaller at the same time?". Well the HTA wheel aero is a very very effieceint and effective design, and per square mm of inlet area pretty much outflows anyhting that we have tested it against.
Fast forward to the present. Currently the 62mm inlet PTE turbo has been making waves, the 6262, GT850, 3562, 6235 and other random variants of it have shown to be able to slightly outflow our early 59mm HTA wheel on the top end when mass flow exceeds 70lb/min but suffer from increased lag over the 3582HTA. To answer this call we built a few prototypes of the GT3586HTA for Tom Powell and David Buschur to shake down for us to see how they would pan out. So far panning out pretty well. The 86mm HTA has a 62mm inlet just like the PTE wheel, so now we get to run them on equal footing instead of giving up 3mm of inlet diameter Standby, the best is yet to come! David and Tom are going to push the wall back pretty far.

Out of all the turbokit's I still think Shearer's manifolds always look the nicest. It seems they look to perform alright too eh

Definetely not a MAF friendly kit, however you could do a blow through MAF like some people have done. We do not offer it but the kits/conversions/information are out there.
Mellon, this could just be the turbo for you. The turbo line up that is available right now is pretty rediculous. For me, someone who not only runs a company but also races and uses what he sells, I can tell you that you have to keep a really open mind and keep trying new things. Sitting back and only using parts that have been around or have the highest profit margins isn't going to make for the fastest car you can build/own. There has never been a better time than right now to be an EVO owner that wants to go fast. It's never been easier and safer to make huge power levels than it is right now.
I have been very concerned this year that my car was an absolute freak. The power it has made boggles my mind. We have turned out some very fast EVO's this year for customers but all of them have made less than my own personal car. I have become very good friends with many of these guys and we often talk about why my car makes so much power. The bottom line is you have to go the distance and do ALL the modifications and doing each and every single little thing adds up to mo money-mo money-mo money and becomes hard to get done all in one build for most people.
If we look at 9sec9's car. He has done some very innovative things with IndyEVO. He has also listened to most of what I have to say and come up with some unbelievable ideas of his own. Remember his RS that he has now started out just as a Stage 4 car that has progressed to where it is. Nothing has been left undone, as a matter of fact 9sec9's car has things my own car doesn't have.
My car with the FS635 on it made 658 whp going on the dyno right after my 9.1 pass. In a pinch we put my turbo on his car and his car belted out 684 whp at the same boost level I made only 658 whp at.
I am now the guy making excuses as to why my car doesn't make the same power that 9sec9's does. He has no excuses, he has a freaking mission!! haha
Tomorrow is going to be a tough day, we have a lot left to do and it is our last day with our good friend Tom at the shop. I am hoping he shatters through that 8 second door and shatters all dyno records on the new HTA86.
I will be posting some dyno sheets tomorrow. I just flat our ran out of time today.

Mike, actually the FS635, HTA85 and the 6262 all have one thing in common a 62mm compressor wheel. The 6262 has a different turbine wheel than the other two turbos and I have yet to test it but there's a chance the power would be phenominal with it. I know your car is making some great power right now.
Also, the crack about the ice in the video was not directed at one single person or shop. The point is we run what we sell on our cars. I didn't tell all of you guys how great our Race FMIC, COP ignition, engines, heads etc. and then release a video of my car running a new best time with different parts on it than I recommend.
How'd you guys like Buckwheat? He sure was impressed with the car wasn't he?!! When Jarrod showed me the video the first time after he finished it and he popped up in the video I just about pissed myself laughing!

I will wait for your feedback on the hta86 and 6262 if you can test that turbo also.. I am sure whatever ends up being the best of the 3 turbos will be what stays on your car.. atleast for the meanwhile..

I don't know how much further I want to go with the car. I mean, holy crap, I never expected the car to go anywhere near this fast. Now we have multiple cars doing it.
I wish I could say that if the car went 8.9999999 I'd quit but the reality of it is as long as I don't cut up the car and ruin it then there's really no reason to stop making more power and improving on the overall package. That's all I have focused on for the last year, improving on the package I had and look what happened!
I would really like to run the car in the standing mile. I don't care about setting any crazy records like Mike Reichen does. I just think it would be cool to get it in the 8's and then just hit 200.00 mph with it. That would pretty much be the final feather in it's hat. I'd like to make that the goal for the car next year if I can get the goal of running 8's finished up this year.
BTW, I'd also like to point out that myself and Tom are running our standard double pumper fuel systems in both cars, stock feed and return fuel lines, stock fuel pressure regulators and our billet fuel rail with 1200 cc injectors.
My car is just now to the point where the 1200's are getting to 99% duty cycle but even there the AFR's are in the 11's.
