Paul, you should try the hks kansai intake manifold, i bet you would get more power.

Other than that go 2.4 with a final drive lol

Switch to a full coilover setup and corner balance the car.

Run less than 14psi in your slicks! I think Eric@shep mentioned this.

Work on getting air to flow OVER the car and NOT under it. A belly pan for the front and the rear of the car would work great.

Maybe a 'moly cage instead of a DOM Mild steel cage.

some1 mentioned before...lexan windows. (tons of weight to be saved there)

Your driveshaft? Are you running a lightweight shaft?

Lug nuts... see if you can get lighter lug nuts rather than steel ones. make sure you studs are only as long as they need to be.

Lighter rotors. Maybe switch to a wave rotor like the bikes use with an aluminum hat. Your brake pad material can be made to have less bite during acceleration.

switch to an aluminum exhaust instead of a FULL 3.5" Stainless steel unit.

a little math for you on weight of piping...
Comparison between 4" SS, 3" SS, and 4" AL tubing.
Weight
Stainless Steel 4" tubing is .086" thick (14awg)
Stainless Steel 3" tubing is .065" thick (16awg)
6061 Aluminum 4" tubing is .065" thick (16awg)

Circumference of a 4" pipe 12.57"
Circumference of a 3" pipe 9.43"

Density of 304 Stainless Steel (lb / cu. in.) 0.285
Density of 6061 Aluminum (lb / cu. in.) 0.098

for a 4 foot section of downpipe (assuming its straight)
4" ss.... 12.57*48*.086= 51.89 cu. in.
3" ss.... 9.43*48*.065= 29.42 cu. in.
4" Al.... 12.57*48*.065= 39.22

(4" SS) .285*51.89= 14.79 lbs.
(3" SS) .285*29.42= 8.38 lbs.
(4" Al) .098*39.22= 3.84 lbs.

Melting Points

304 Stainless Steel (Deg F) 2650
6061 Aluminum (Deg F) 1090
Aluminum Oxide (Deg F) 2054

Highest EGT (Deg F) 1700

Also...if you would've used teh TiAL housing on your 42R...bunch of weight savings. Also if you do your manifold in 16 gauge inco or 316ss...bunch of weight to be had there as well.

Liquid to AIR IC.... you have a race car right? why not use it?

Nitrous? I know you have nitrous paul. Nitrous ALWAYS picks up MPH

Lose the mirrors.

Alignment, alignment, alignment.

Weight, while important, isn't everything.

Tape or block every orifice/opening/hole in the front of the car.
