Well now wait a minute. How do you get 20whp from 1psi of boost? 1PSI is rated anwhere from 7-10wheel. Again scientifically it doesnt add up. Im not doubting you made the numbers. Just stating the obvious.

my car picks up 28 or more mph on the back half also, if its not your shifts slowing you down in the 1/8th mile, id look at your a/f ratio while going down the 1/4 mile, it might be changing more then you think

hmm... 119 mph stock turbo. It seems to me that these stock turbo just get better with time.

Trap speed and time is still pretty impressive for what you have done to that car. Look at my times and everything else I had done. Wish my car would have been a monster from the start. Horse Power #'s are right in line with my car except for torque and your running almost identical times/mph.

im sorry but I just can't believe that the stock turbo at only 22psi max is trapping 119, unless the car is seriously light weight or the boost number your quoting is incorrect. You have basically the same mods as me and I trap 110 on pump with the stock turbo consistantly but at a 24psi spike.

I know people with TME turbos and FULL bolt-ons running 26-28psi on alky who only trap 116.

how are you verifying boost, with a map sensor or just by looking at your gauge?

First of all -I would (almost) KILL for those numbers - as Warr knows I have power and driving issues to address.

But something comes to mind on the HP vs Trq.

The HP and Trq on the dyno chart aren't equal at 5252, which from what I've read and been taught, reveals a problem with the Dyno readings.

borrowed:

"Also, we see from the formula that at 5252 rpm, horsepower is equal to torque. This is always true. If your dyno tells you that the horsepower and torque curves cross anywhere other than 5252 rpm, your dyno is broken."
http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Horsepower.html

and

"Now you know exactly how horsepower and torque are related. There are no exceptions to this rule; they will always be related by this formula. In fact, it might be better to see them as just flip sides of the same coin. One result of this formula is that below 5252 rpm, torque will always be less than horsepower, at 5252 rpm they will be equal, and above 5252 rpm torque will be less. Note that a dyno never measures horsepower; it can only measure torque and then use the above formula to get horsepower."

This in NO way undermines what this guy and his car did, but it might start to explain a little bit of the HP/Trq descrepencies that have been mentioned.(???)

thats because the HP/TQ are scaled differently. look at the bottom of each side of the chart and you'll see what I mean.

You're right , he crosses at about 345 (or close) I didn't notice that. All of my charts have always been scaled equally on both sides - at least the ones I'm looking at now.

Well that blows that theory!
