I'm just curious as to which dealer has an Evo that's supposedly legal for Canada. what's the name/phone number? anything ? I think there's a lot of people on here who would give their left nut for an Evo, so tell us this info so we can all find out what the scoop is, cause if a dealer can do it, so can we.

naw, You can drive it into anypart of canada and stay in there as long as your visa and/or your temporary permit slip premits, though ironically you just say your visiting and the border patroll will just let you pass thru.. was like that last year anyway, not sure now.

You can Drive an evo into canada very easily IF it has US plates, which does not mean that you are importing the CAR..
As for importing it, it lists in the website below that the EVO IS INADMISSIBLE.... For those importing it. How did you get around this as this legally does NOT seem possible ????
Thanks

So Technically since the only exception for Importing the EVO's from the States (2003 & 2004 Lancer Evolution), Can we import Da Evo 6???? or does it have to be a production car made for the US market???

They finally caught on that a Lancer and an Evolution are very different cars. That sucks!!! Congrats to all those that were able to beat the system before the change.

Some people did in Ontario with a 6.5 TME., one person is using it as a Autox vehicle here Im guessing as it is fitted with rowbars, stripped down, etc.
The other is located in Northern Ontario, Near Thunder bay/Atikokan, met him once before he left to Fort Francis. This one is actually registered with Ontario plates as well, and it dosen't appear to be any speical type car, basically bone stock except for tinted windows and new sound system lol.

If you really want an EVO....just do a search. There are EVO's for sale in Canada. For example, Burlington, Ontario has had a EVO with 9000k for $43,000CDN in the paper for a while now. I heard it's tricky to insure because of the front mounted intercooler=doesn't pass the 5mph front crash test.
