Has anyone used 4-Links
Has anyone on here used the 4-Link setup? I have been doing allot of research on suspension and chassis which is mostly for RWD cars. After researching the theory and finding some supporting information I have determined that a 4-Link setup to achieve greater than 100% antiquat on both the front and rear tires sounds good in theory but I'm not sure how it will pan out in practise.
Here is an extract of what I have read
"However, an AWD car with more than 100% anti-squat at both ends will hit the rear tires very hard, but with only ~50% of engine power. The extremely high anti-squat on the rear will transfer weight to the front tires, and the extremely high anti-squat on the front will serve to pull the front of the car down and load the front contact patches by a little more still. The AWD car will be heavier, but it could have twice the available rubber. It's contact patch pressure will be lower, and its available grip (in lateral g's) will consequently be higher."
In theory this sounds awesome to me since my car is intended for Drag Race only. If anyone can respond with their own experience with the 4-link setup that would be great.
Thanks,
